Find out more about each school:
Butterknowle Primary School
The Friends of Butterknowle Primary School is a charity fundraising association run by parents and grandparents of children in the school along with some of the staff. It helps provide all those little extras that enhance the children’s lives in school, from school trips to football strips!
We would like to invite you to become a member of our committee. We are always looking for new members who can bring new ideas and expertise to our school. We meet regularly so please contact us at school for the date and time of our next meeting.
Frosterley Primary School
We have an active ‘Friends of Frosterley School’ consisting a group of parent volunteers. We host termly events which have recently included children’s discos, Christmas / Summer Fayres, Easter competitions and much more. We are always on the look out for new volunteers; so if you feel you could spare a few hours to help organise and get involved in school fundraising events, please visit the school office for further information.
The money raised at Friends of the School events is always reinvested in school to provide a range of excellent equipment and resources for the benefit of all children in the school.
Fundraising in School
As a school, we are committed to supporting charities and other good causes. We regularly take part in national events such as Comic Relief Red Nose Day, Children in Need and the British Legion Poppy Appeal. At Harvest time, we have supported local organisations such Shelter in Consett by providing them with our food donations.
Woodland Primary School
Welcome from our Friends of the School. We provide minutes from our meetings to show what great events and fundraising our Friends of Woodland School have done and continue to do.
We always welcome new members and if you are interested in becoming a member, please contact the school or just come along to the next meeting.
If you want to know more about us or would like to become a Friend of any of our schools please contact the school office for further information.
